Two funerals in one week. This week has definitely been lots of ups and downs. My niece had her sweet newborn baby pass away, and we had our dear friends 16 year old pass away in a car accident. There has definitely been heartache, but so many miracles as well and so much good. We attended a funeral on my sweet husbands birthday, so we made time to celebrate him even though it was short. We also went to Idaho to place flowers on my Grandparents grave, and felt so much peace there. ❤️

This may seem just like a journal entry, but I wanted to share with you that I believe that when we look for the good we will find it. Even in our darkest times and hardest trials, when we look for the good and the blessings, they appear and seem to multiply.

There have been many tears shed in the last week, but I know there is a higher power who loves us all so much, and knows what we each need individually.

It was so neat to be able to hug and see our people without masks; and to be able to embrace them in our arms and show them love. We are meant to love and lift one another.

If you are having a rough time, know it is only for a season, and you are loved. Keep on going, don’t give up, and look for the hope and light that is there. I know you will find it. 💡💕

I can’t believe this guy is 8 this week! Where does the time go? We have sure had fun celebrating, with family swimming, salmon dinner, presents, and lots of balloons. This kid brings so much joy to our family. I am excited for many more celebrations with him. 🎈 🎉😃 What are your favorite ways to celebrate with your loved ones? ❤️

It’s Friday! This weekend we are celebrating Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day. Lots of fun ahead with the family. Don’t forget, no matter what your plans are this weekend, you are loved. Do something nice for yourself! Maybe something nice for a friend who could use a pick me up as well. 💕😃

On this day of Thanksgiving, I am incredibly grate

On this day of Thanksgiving, I am incredibly grateful for these amazing parents of mine. We weren’t able to be together to celebrate the holiday, but I have been able to connect with them virtually, and am so grateful. They have always been there for me, and encouraged me to go for my dreams. So many people are brought joy because they know these two. I know they are the kind of people I want to be when I grow up. Thank you for being amazing examples, and always loving me Mom and Dad. ❤️ #givethanks

I am thankful for my little flower garden. I love being able to go out and see the new growth on the flowers. It seems like taking care of a garden is like life. We need to make sure to weed out the things that can bring us harm or aren’t good for us. Then we can grow to our full potential and look to the light where all good things and true joy comes. As the flowers turn to the sun, may we turn to the Son, and always have his guidance and comfort. #givethanks

At the end of May we decided to get six little bab

At the end of May we decided to get six little baby chicks. I didn’t know anything about raising chickens. With some tips from great friends, we have watched them grow and now one is laying eggs daily. 🥚

These baby chicks were actually a huge blessing, amidst all of the heaviness in the world. Every morning when we have gone to feed them and let them out, the chicks have been so happy to see us. We actually trained them so they would just come sit on our laps. There is something special when you can build trust with animals and make that connection. I know that for me, taking care of these chickens daily, and seeing their funny personalities has been so fun and a blessing. I may not be a “farm girl”, but I am having fun just dipping my toes in with these fun chicks. 🐓

I am so grateful for Sundays! Having a day to rest from labors, and be able to worship. I know that when I am intentional with my Sunday’s, I can reset for the week, and grow closer to God. Our family spends time together, and gains more gratitude for one another. What peace this brings, even when there is so much noise and confusion in the world. Today, I am grateful for our sweet dog, who is only 4lbs., but loves so big. She knows how to give comfort when we are sad, and loves to go in the car with us. What a gift this sweet little dog is to our family. #givethanks

Early morning and headed out for a walk. The sun is still behind the mountains, and the moon is out. Our neighborhood is quiet, aside from birds chirping. This is where clarity can be found. Where mental, physical and emotional wellness will be improved a step at a time. Will there be crowds cheering to get you out of bed and keep you going? No. However, the little voice inside, if you are willing to listen, will help you to keep going forward. Know you are worth it. You are made for more. If you are willing to make the time to show up for yourself, these times will become some of your most valuable, with all of the things going on in the world. You and I get to choose how we spend our time. Will you make it a priority to give yourself an extra little time and care? Exercise, meditate, or just be still, even for a few minutes. I know if you will, you will feel more peace, have more clarity, and find more joy. Join me and let’s change the world one day at a time. 🌎 ❤️💡

So, I hardly ever drink soda. In fact, if I do, don’t usually even drink a full can size. However, @quenchitutahem has this yummy ness of a drink called the Strawberry Dream 🍓, and the red cream soda in it takes me back to being a little kid, and getting a fountain drink with my mom.
So, I stopped by, grabbed one for myself, and dropped a drink off my sis in law as a gift, while I was running errands.
It was simple, but I believe it’s the small things that we do that can lift our spirits and others as well. Also, moments that take us back to happy memories, can be so important in a time of so much uncertainty.
Find the little things that bring you joy, and do one each day. It’s puzzle time! 🧩 I don’t know about you, but we have family memories of doing puzzles at the cabin, with grandparents, or other fun times.
During this time of being home, I have set up a puzzle and it has brought so much peace and helped relieve stress.

Hey everyone! I hope you and your loved ones are well. This time has been challenging for many amazing small businesses. I decided to get curbside takeout from one of our favorite places @randrbbq to show some support. Their food is amazing and their service is as well. Many restaurants have deals going on, and are doing either distanced pickup or distanced delivery. I know funds are tight for many at the moment, but if you are looking to support a small business you love, this is a great way to do it.
